The Red House Antiques Centre

The Red House opened in 1999 as a result of established Harrogate antique business The Ginnel expanding. Their York centre is comfortably housed in an 18th century grade II listed townhouse which was built in 1700 for Sir William Robinson, Lord Mayor of York. It is handily located for visitors to York, 200 yards from the Minster and close to all the central shopping streets.

The Red House offers 10 showrooms spread over 2 floors and houses the collections of 60 dealers.
Amongst other things, the Red House specialises in furniture, art deco glassware, clocks, paintings, jewellery, dolls, teddies and decorative art.

For those who would like to learn more about the appreciation of antiques, they offer a range of lecturers and workshops.
