The Maltings
A former Yorkshire pub of the Year, The Maltings enjoys a central location at the foot of Lendal Bridge and just a few minute’s walk from York railway station.
It has become something of a York legend with its idiosyncratic interior design, gregarious landlord and excellent value food. They serve at least seven real ales and four traditional ciders at any one time including the distinguished resident beer, Black Sheep Best Bitter.
The pub is a staunch supporter of microbreweries and runs a popular annual beer festival in October.
They also host regular live music nights including a blues night every Monday and a folk night every Tuesday.
