The Ackhorne
Tucked away in a ginnel off Micklegate, this long established hostelry has been providing real ales to thirsty locals since 1783.
With its traditional open fire, reasonably priced food and a wealth of real ales and traditional ciders, it offers a welcome respite from the plethora of more commercial establishments in the vicinity. It quickly become busy at weekends so don’t expect to be able to sit down unless you arrive early.
A small function room is available for hire with buffet service on request.
