Golden Ball

The Golden Ball is a traditional Victorian corner pub which dates back to the 1880s. It still features its original layout with a taproom, snug, lounge and billiards room, although much of its original glazed brick interior was sadly altered in the 1920s when it was refurbished by John Smith’s brewery.

The pub offers a great range of guest ales, bottled beers and spirits which can be enjoyed in the cosy interior or out in the beer garden in summer.

In terms of activities, the pub hosts a domino night on Mondays, a quiz night on Wednesdays, and live music on Thursdays and Sundays.
