Quirkily located in a former Victorian brothel, The Blue Bicycle Club enjoys a reputation as one of York’s finest fish restaurants and bistros.
The décor gives off a warm rustic welcome and ensures that the great food can shine without any form of pretention. Diners can enjoy pre-dinner drinks overlooking the river Foss before making their way upstairs to the dining room which offers delightfully intimate booths for two in addition to an eclectic range of other seating options.
Though the menu is predominantly fish and seafood, you can also enjoy a variety of game, local meats and various vegetarian options, which can all be complemented by a wine from the excellent wine list.
