City Screen
The licensed cafe bar at City Screen on Coney Street enjoys a splendid riverside setting and affords excellent views up and down the Ouse. In summer you can enjoy their great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, sandwiches, salads and side orders outside on the terrace while in winter you’ll be snug as a bug in the glass fronted bar.
Its relaxed, urbane atmosphere makes the cafe-bar at City Screen the perfect setting for enjoying a well executed afternoon coffee and muffin after shopping or for a leisurely glass of wine or meal either before or after catching a film.
They have a good selection of board games too which is a nice quirky touch – just make sure that all the pieces are there before you get too excited!
The menu at City Screen has a Mediterranean influence with satisfyingly snacky dishes such as eggs Benedict, grilled chorizo and goats cheese on toast, salmon fishcakes, and Yorkshire fries with alioli.
